What Art Feels Like?

launching at Moco Museum Barcelona, Concept Store on 28 May 2026.

Art and its benefits should be accessible to all

Guided by this belief, we design research-informed, immersive art experiences that reintroduce art in innovative formats, inviting audiences to engage with it in new and deeply personal ways.

Our mission is to expand access to art beyond traditional museum spaces, reimagine how art is experienced, and position art as an everyday resource for inspiration, emotional connection, and wellbeing.

OUR MISSION

Access Beyond Musuems

We bring museum-quality art to audiences beyond traditional cultural spaces — through a portable, adaptable format that travels to galleries, art venues, and cultural spaces across Europe.

Immersive Art Experiences

Through thoughtful curatorial sequencing, layered soundscapes, and carefully designed spaces for reflection, we transform art viewing into something felt rather than simply observed. Each experience is designed as a gradual emotional journey — from stillness and contemplation toward openness and inspiration.

Research Informed Curation

Our curatorial approach integrates insights from neuroaesthetics, psychoanalytical frameworks, and affective theory. This interdisciplinary foundation informs how artworks are selected, sequenced, and presented — creating conditions for emotional resonance, personal connection, and quiet discovery.

Art and Wellbeing

We position art as an everyday resource for wellbeing available to anyone willing to slow down, look, and feel. Our research partnerships generate evidence for how immersive art experiences contribute to emotional awareness and psychological wellbeing.

What Art Feels Like?
Beyond seeing

The Team

Vaiva Kontrimaite — Founder of ArtMind ConnectionsSuperbien — Immersive Design Studio
Alba Campo Rosillo, PhD — Curatorial Advisor

What does art feel like — not just as something observed, but as something felt?

What Art Feels Like? is ArtMind Connections’ flagship immersive art experience — a carefully designed journey through visual art, soundscape, and reflection that invites each visitor to slow down, engage emotionally, and experience art differently.

The Experience Journey

The experience unfolds as an immersive art encounter, inviting visitors to slow down, observe, and engage with art beyond passive viewing.

It culminates in a quiet reflection space designed to encourage personal interpretation. Each visitor may experience the exhibition differently. There is no single way to feel art.

Curatorial Approach

The exhibition brings together artworks selected for their emotional resonance, atmosphere, and symbolism. Through immersive presentation, sound, and spatial design, the project explores how artistic encounters can become more personally meaningful and felt.

ABOUT US

Created from the belief that art should be part of everyday life

ArtMind Connections was created from the belief that art should be part of everyday life — not confined to specific spaces or audiences. We bring museum-quality art into new contexts through innovative presentation, designing experiences that invite genuine emotional engagement and support wellbeing through research-grounded curation.

Positioned at the intersection of visual art, wellbeing research, and immersive design, ArtMind Connections develops curatorial practices attentive to perception, emotion, and personal meaning. Rather than directing how art should be seen, we create conditions in which each visitor may engage with art in their own way — and find something of themselves within it.

Vaiva KontrimaitÄ—

Founder

Vaiva is the founder of ArtMind Connections. A lifelong art enthusiast, she has experienced the benefits of art first-hand both as an artist and an avid art viewer, and has set out on a mission to make art and its benefits accessible to all.

Her academic research thesis explores how visual art supports emotional and psychological wellbeing in everyday life, integrating interdisciplinary frameworks with lived experiences and qualitative research insight.

RESEARCH COLLABORATION

We explore how immersive encounters with art contribute to the growing field connecting art, mind, and wellbeing

The research is conducted in collaboration with two leading academic institutions:

Universidad Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid

Led by Professor Ana Reyes Ménéndez, whose research focuses on behavioural science and audience response. Ana was a principal researcher in a 2024 interdisciplinary study with the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza examining the impact of art on emotional responses.

ARTIS Lab, Vienna

Led by Associate Professor Matthew Pelowski at the University of Vienna, Faculty of Psychology, with extensive expertise in empirical aesthetics and the psychology of art and wellbeing.

In collaboration with municipalities and public bodies, ArtMind Connections develops accessible cultural projects that promote cultural participation, emotional engagement, and community wellbeing in public and civic spaces.

WHY IT MATTERS

Art has the power to inspire, transform, and connect

Meaningful visual art experiences remain unevenly accessible — many audiences feel distanced from traditional formats of presentation, and the potential emotional and psychological benefits of art often go unrealised.

At the same time, the relationship between art and wellbeing is increasingly recognised across cultural, academic, and wellness contexts, yet rarely brought together into a single, integrated experience.

ArtMind Connections bridges this gap. By rethinking how art is shared and experienced, we create conditions where art can genuinely come alive — emotionally, perceptually, and personally — for every visitor, regardless of their background or prior relationship with art.
